The Nikon Nikkormat FT2 was launched in 1975 and was sold untill 1977. The FT2 was the last Nikon camera before the introduction of AI (Automatic Indexing) lenses. Aperture indexing on the Nikon Nikkormat FT2 is semi automatic. When attaching a lens the aperture needs to be set to 1:5.6 in order for the camera's meter coupling pin to be aligned lens's meter coupling. The light meter is visible in both the viewfinder as on top of the camera.
